Art Deco altar/tryptique desk clock, Cartier, circa 1928

Upright rectangular gold case with Chinese black enamel design, rose-cut diamond set motifs in platinum, rose-cut diamond set initials, the doors open to access the white enamel dial with blue Roman numerals, blued steel hands, the back doors open to access the movement, onyx base. Rose-cut diamond set platinum initials “E.G” on top.

Signed: CARTIER on the dial, dial further stamped with BREVETE (patented) and FRANCE. Numbered.
